Captain Tsubasa: Sekai Daikessen!! Jr. World Cup

Intercontinental play replaces the traditional Japan-Europe match. This time, four teams—Japan, the United States, “All Europe,” and “All South America”—will compete in the World Cup. Japan handily defeats the USA 3:0 in the first game, and Europe loses to South America 2:3 in the second. Carlos Santana, S.A.’s “soccer cyborg” and seemingly unbeatable player, is displayed in the final round. Hyuga’s “Tiger Shot” and Tsubasa’s “Top Spin” are two examples of their traditional tricks that appear to be completely useless, but in a challenging and exciting match, the Japanese gradually learn to play together and ultimately triumph.
