Team Q4 breaks up after their fierce fight in the national tournament, and everyone goes back to their normal lives. Aichi Sendou is visiting Card Capital when she spots a strange customer there. The reclusive boy discovers that his typical deck has completely changed after learning about Cardfight Vanguard.

Everyone maintains that the cards are the same ones that Aichi has been using, even though it include a variety of units that he has never seen before. Aichi is left even more perplexed when the odd boy vanishes without a trace. Aichi wants to solve the mystery of the incident and the strange boy as he adjusts to the new, strange deck.
