Crime never goes away. By 2071, humanity has spread throughout the cosmos, establishing Earth-like colonies on the surface of various planets. Murder, drug addiction, and robbery are commonplace in these new society, and a growing number of fierce bounty hunters are hunting down intergalactic outlaws.

To earn a meager living, Spike Spiegel and Jet Black hunt down criminals across space. The burden of Spike’s terrible background haunts him beneath his silly and distant exterior. As Jet tends to Spike and their ship, the Bebop, he deals with his own painful memories. Ein, a bioengineered Welsh Corgi, Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV, a strange youngster, and the stunning con artist Faye Valentine join the team.
