The Secret World of Arrietty

The young but ill Shou makes an incredible discovery while spending the summer at his aunt’s house: he follows the house cat into the bushes and catches a glimpse of a tiny girl the size of his finger! The girl identifies herself as Arrietty and calls her benevolent people “Borrowers,” since they live off of meager remnants of human belongings. Shou is understandably thrilled at the prospect of having such unusual neighbours when he learns that she lives in the basement of the house with her parents, Pod and Homily.
