The Aquarion franchise started with the OG anime, Genesis of Aquarion by Shoji Kawamori, in 2005. Since then, the series has spanned across multiple projects with 2 sequel anime seasons, a few special episodes and the movie – Wings of Genesis.

Satelight, the production company behind Aquarion franchise, released two OVA in May 2007: Wings of Betrayal and Wings of Glory.

In the September of same year, they decided the two OVAs, added a few extra scenes and packaged everything togerther as Genesis of Aquarion: Wings of Genesis.
